The Lutheran Women's Missionary League is very active at Ascension. They host regular meetings from August through May every second Saturday of the month at 10:00 AM with many different activities planned throughout the year.

Some of their mission projects include mites (pennies and change lying around that add up to millions!) which are sent to women and children in desperate need of aid to become self-sufficient; sponsoring men going through the seminary to become Lutheran pastors; preparing meals for special events; and some fundraisers.  For more information about this very special group of women, call the church office at (256) 536-9987.
