Current Items for December

December is, would you believe, BUSY?  Programs, rehearsals, adoptions (for a dinner table), and last-minute decorations. And not to forget, the Changes. . .

  • Starting at the beginning of the month, we have the last decorations and trees to go up in the sanctuary (check mark);
  • Advent services beginning at 6:00 PM on Wednesdays for three weeks;
  • The names for the angels on the CDC trees, which have to be back as presents under the tree on or before December 10;
  • CDC Christmas program (12/13), for the first time in the sanctuary since before COVID;
  • Adopting a table to decorate for the meal on Sunday, December 17, after the Sunday School program;
  • One Service at 10:00 AM on December 17, preceded by 30 minutes of spectacular music from musicians (begins at 9:30 AM);
  • Choir Christmas Cantata, "Behold a Savior," to be presented on December 18 at the 6:00 PM service slot;
  • One service on Sunday morning, December 24, at 9:30 AM;
  • One Christmas Eve service at 7:00 PM (Lessons and Carols);
  • One Christmas Day worship service at 10;00 AM on December 25 (no Monday night service); and
  • Choir rehearsals after the Wednesday night services, plus an extra rehearsal on Sunday, December 17, after the special dinner with the adopted tables.

There will be no Men's Prayer Breakfast on the fourth Saturday of December, and the Ladies' Bible Study will take off the Tuesday after Christmas. Choir rehearsal will be suspended until after the New Year, also.
